This summer, I travelled around Malaysia, Thailand and Cambodia. Through my camera and sketchbook, I was thoroughly inspired by everything I saw, from temples, to street art, to food! From this, I created a large 3D embroidered installation at the MAC in Birmingham, and have filtered it's shapes and designs down, to create a collection of jewellery inspired by my trip!
Each day course is £65 per person.
This price includes all materials, and use of all equipment.
All courses run from 10am-3:30pm, with a limit of 10 spaces per course. Please bring your own lunch, however, tea and cake will be provided!
Each course consists of learning the basics of the software and then applying your new skills to the workshop theme. Just before lunch you will be introduced to the 6 needle digital embroidery machine, shown how it works, and if you want, can have a go at theading it up, and setting up your own embroidery!
The completed designs will be stitched out in the afternoon, along with any final touches made my hand. Any spare time can be spent having a longer play with the software, or further hand embellishments to your creation!
